Welcome to Part 5 of our beginners series on Dreamweaver Templates, where we will be discovering how to deploy and get the most out of nested templates. Nested templates carry a relationship with the parent template they are created from and allow you to maintain a specific layout based on the parent while providing the flexibility for variation within your web site.

We will be looking at how you can control and vary specific areas of your layout and content with a single nested template. In reality there is no reason why you couldn't deploy several such nested templates within your web site. The art of building a functional web site often lies within the flexibility it contains. Dreamweaver provides this ability and you can exploit it with clever use of nested templates and still maintain the integrity of your layout by retaining overall control of your core code.
