Wonderful as the CSS Starter Pages are, they are now a few years old. They are still invaluable as a starting point, but perhaps could benefit from a bit of sprucing up as we develop a site for the new decade 2010.
In this article, we'll expand the layout to the popular 960 pixel width that optimizes a site for the current lowest common denominator screen resolution of 1024 by 768. We'll use a grid to help us develop precise columns that divide the page into thirds. For fun, we'll then use the CSS3 property border-radius to make the design fancier without the weight of images.
