<title>Subject: To Make Money, Adsense Complications - by: nick2318</title>
            <link>http://www.edesignerz.net/forum?func=view&amp;catid=16&amp;id=742#742</link>
<description>To define it briefly, Google Adsense is the program where you can host ppc ads on your site. When a visitor clicks on your ad, you make money. It’s as simple as that.

But is it really that easy? It can be, but a lot of people falsely bought into the idea that there was a lot of easy money to be made and unfortunately they’re finding out now that their not making as much as they’d like. On top of this, Google has a lot of prohibited practices when it comes to the world of Adsense. Typically, complying with these Adsense policies is a must. In addition, not only do marketers and webmasters have to comply with these adsense policies, but their websites have to also.

There are a few things to take note of when using Adsense.

1.) Dealing with Competitors-

Many of the other ads you’ll notice ; when you start hosting PPC ads, is that of your competitors. Therefore, you’ll want to put ads up on pages that aren’t earning any money. Google adsense does allow you to specify up to 200 URLS for the sites you want to bar from placing on your pages, yet the problem is that most of the time you won’t know that the competitors are out there until their ads begin to appear.

2.) Ad options-

Google offers 3 ways to make money.

-Content- A variety of shape and size ads for placing within your content, these can be text, image, or both. Ad units are full ads, and link units are strips of text links that visitors might want to click on. Google usually allows you to put up 3 Ad Units and 1 Link unit on each page of your site, but of course still following the Adsense policies.

-Referrals- You can make money by referring visitors to use products like Adwords, Adsense, the toolbar, or other software by Google. Google ultimately generates the code that you will use to promote on your webpage, and the way it works is that if someone goes to your site and clicks on the link and signs up for an Adsense account; for example, when that person who clicked earns a $100 payout from Adsense then you’ll receive $100 for referring them.

-Search- Using adsense for search typically works as putting a search box upon your website, and when a user proceeds to put in a search, a results page is opened where more pay-per-click ads are hosted. A good thing about this is that the page that holds the results can too be customized to match the color scheme of your site.

3.) Payments by Google Adsense

A problem may arise in this area because Google will not issue you a payment until your earnings pass the $100 point. Thus, Google can have the opportunity to ban your account; for example, if a marketer reached $90 and didn’t comply with Adsense guidelines to the fullest extent then Google can ban the account before the payout. This is possibly because Google doesn’t look closely into the situation until it comes time to pay the person.

As seen, Adsense is a great program to use and can be a sure-fire way of making extra or a full time income, but there are also details to look into that if ignored can ultimately lead to disappointment on the receiving end.

            <link>http://www.edesignerz.net/forum?func=view&amp;catid=16&amp;id=741#741</link>
            <description>Hello Friends,

Black Hat search engine optimization is usually defined as techniques that are used to get higher search rankings in an unethical manner.

Black hat techniques are sometimes referred to as search engine spamming. One example is repeating an important keyphrase many times on the homepage. Another is using text that it is the same colour as the background of the page, so the keyphrase is visible to the search robots and algorithm, but not to the human reader. Engineering pages for robots is a practice known as ‘cloaking’. Other examples of spamming which are well known are doorway pages and link-farms.

It attempts to improve rankings in ways that are disapproved of by the search engines, or involve deception. One black hat technique uses text that is hidden, either as text colored similar to the background, in an invisible div, or positioned off screen. Another method gives a different page depending on whether the page is being requested by a human visitor or a search engine, a technique known as cloaking.

Search engines may penalize sites they discover using black hat methods, either by reducing their rankings or eliminating their listings from their databases altogether. Such penalties can be applied either automatically by the search engines' algorithms, or by a manual site review. One infamous example was the February 2006 Google removal of both BMW Germany and Ricoh Germany for use of deceptive practices. Both companies, however, quickly apologized, fixed the offending pages, and were restored to Google's list.

<description>Pay per click advertising generates traffic immediately and is a responsive and fast method for creating buzz for your site.

The principles of pay per click advertising are simple - a company willing to place the highest bid for a keyword will be ranked the highest on the search results page.

Pay per click advertising is extremely flexible - keywords can be adjusted, added or deleted according to current market conditions.

Pay per click advertising can be economical compared with more traditional advertising strategies.

For short-term advertising campaigns, pay per click advertising is ideal - allowing organisations to change the copy of ads. as desired to reflect keyword changes.

Pay per click advertising can give an immediate return on investment - especially if your website can process business/sales online.

<title>Subject: Plan Ahead for Marketing Success - by: nick2318</title>
            <link>http://www.edesignerz.net/forum?func=view&amp;catid=16&amp;id=737#737</link>
<description>Planning for your Internet Marketing process is vital as to the benefits that will derive from your hard work. In fact, planning is crucial if you are going to have any kind of benefits deriving from Internet Marketing at all. Big businesses and vast corporations have their marketing plans and can hire dozens of people to analyze the global market and present reports on telling exactly where their business is, who their competitors are, and what they are doing, how they need to do it, and how much it will cost for how long.

Although hiring twenty or more people may not be possible for a one-man operation; such as running a internet business from home, it does share the main concept of planning ahead, and that is outlying as to where your business stands and what you need to do to be/stay successful.

A business plan could sound intimidating. Having an army of marketing gurus though to establish a plan for an Internet Marketing process isn’t necessary. All an internet marketing plan needs is common sense and a bit of business intelligence, and these two traits can be attained through some education and experience.

A good strategy is a technique called “micro level planning”, and it’s a technique that will ultimately allow you to know exactly where you are and where you wish to go from your current business status.

Now, the best way to start doing “micro level planning” is to ask yourself a simple question. You can ask any question you may see appropriate, but one generic one could be: “Why am I marketing on the Internet anyway? Is it to increase public awareness? To increase my sales? Or is it to Build a Community?” Then after asking these questions and noting them down it would be a good idea to note down how much of your marketing efforts will be online and how much time will you intend to spend on each of these tasks.

Secondly, another technique is in making a checklist of things that you would like to include in your business that can in turn help the process. For example, what strategies would you implement? Is it using Newsletters, Articles, Viral Marketing, Banners, Contests, or even Forums?

Other questions you can ask are: “What type of analysis will this marketing be subjected to? What is the ROI that I can expect and how am I going to monitor this? What is the annual budget I’m working with, and how will this budget be divided among the various marketing strategies I have chosen?”

In addition, to these techniques of planning your business, also its important to keep in mind the effectiveness of timelines and deadlines. These are equally important because they help to set milestones and due dates for completing certain actions, which can otherwise stretch out for more than wanted if not organized. Not having these two items will signify a risk in falling behind or getting boggled down with confusion within your Internet Marketing plan. So it’s vital to keep note for dates and times on activities, either big or small.

            <title>Subject: Sell the problem - by: bonnie</title>
            <link>http://www.edesignerz.net/forum?func=view&amp;catid=5&amp;id=736#736</link>
<description>No nike shox r4 (http://www.cheapnikeshoxstore.com/shox-r4-shoes-c-3.html) business buys a solution for a problem they don't have. And yet, most business to business marketers jump right into features and benefits, without taking the time to understand if the person on the other end of the conversation/call/letter believes they even have a problem.
My friend Marcia (we've advised each other on various projects) has a very cool idea for large professional firms. As an architect, she realized the firms were wasting time and lacoste polo shop (http://www.pickpolos.com/) money and efficiency in the way they use their space. Roomtag is her answer.
The challenge is this: if your big law firm or accounting firm doesn't think it has a space allocation/stuff tracking/office mapping problem, you won't be looking for a solution. You won't wake up in the morning dreaming about how to solve it, or go to bed wondering how much it's costing you to ignore it. And so the marketing challenge is to sell the problem. Interesting paradox: a lot of people aren't willing to embrace that they have a problem unless they also believe that there's a solution so part of selling a problem is hinting that there's a solution that others are using, or is right around the corner.
Imagine, for example, getting the data and publishing a list of the top 50 firms, ranked by efficiency of space use. All of a sudden, the bottom half of the list realizes that yes, in fact, they have something that they need to work on. If you knew that your firm was paying twice as much per associate as the competition, you'd realize that there's a problem. When Gerald Roush died in late May, he left behind the Ferrari Market Letter. This newsletter, which he started and ran, had nearly 5,000 subscribers, paying him $130 a year for a subscription. Do the math! It's a good living--even without a fancy website.
The newsletter, it appears, was not just lucrative, it was a bargain. It chronicled the pricing, whereabouts and details of just about every Ferrari ever made. If you were a buyer or a seller, you subscribed. If you wanted to run an ad, you were required to include the car's VIN, which added to Roush's voluminous database.
The Roush effect involves extraordinary domain knowledge, a market small enough to understand and diligently earning the role of data middleman. The players in the market want there to be one clearinghouse, one authority who can connect the data, see the trends and publish the conventional wisdom. It might be a newsletter, a conference or an online database. The tactics don't matter, but the role is indispensable. If you need examples to persuade you to try this, they won't be hard to find. One of my favorites is my friend Michael's role in the book industry. He's bigger and more important than the famous (but failing) trade journal.Just about every tribe needs a Gerald Roush. And in many markets, they can afford to pay someone like him very handsomely. If you're among the majority reading this that has never bought one of my books in a bookstore, not much will change. But I thought I'd share with you this fork in the road. Thanks for reading, in whatever form you choose.
One of the best ways we have to intuit the way others decide is to understand how we decide. We have a voice in our heads and we assume others do too. We don't like rancid cheese and we assume others don't either.</description>

When it comes to marketing online, video can be a great way to captivate people and can be extremely enticing, especially when done right. One site that has revolutionized the internet is Youtube, and it definitely has brought sweeping changes in the way people perform online activities. <description>Affiliate marketing is a business model in which one could start without a website. It is mostly a myth that a website is completely needed in order to be successful online. Therefore, promoting affiliate products or services can be done through alternative strategies that can generate free traffic and leads, which will in time, translate into profit.
Marketing affiliate links or products with free tactics can range through a variety of methods in the Affiliate Marketing business model. All free methods can be highly valuable if incorporated strategically into an online business.

Email Marketing-

Promoting affiliate links using email can be extremely effective to a list. Having a list of many people who are potential customers; or being apart of a membership site, both allow you to use email marketing as a means of promotion. Through this way of marketing you can email these people an affiliate link which will divert them to an affiliate site. If they follow your affiliate link and purchase the product/service, you will get a commission.

Article Marketing-

Submitting an article to a directory and getting highly targeted traffic to an article on a specific niche is common. However, many article directories have stopped allowing authors to put an affiliate link in the author’s signature area. The goal with article marketing is to find directories which will allow you to place affiliate links so you can proceed to build highly targeted traffic to the affiliate programs you’re promoting and then eventually convert this traffic into profit.

Yahoo Answers-

Marketing in Yahoo Answers consists of finding people who are asking related questions to your product, and then promoting your affiliate link through your answer. However, simply pushing the affiliate link will not be effective enough to make a sale, but providing a good and valuable answer in addition to asking the asker to visit the affiliate site. This tactic will dramatically increase the chances of making commissions and attaining leads through Yahoo Answers.

Ebook Marketing-

Viral ebook marketing is another form of marketing that can promote your affiliate programs. Viral marketing is where you can create an ebook which explains certain information which can be valuable for the readers and make them want to share this information with their friends by passing the ebook around. Within this viral ebook strategy the author leaves affiliate links at strategic locations in the ebook content, and as the readers click the links they will be taken to the appropriate affiliate sales page. The entire concept of viral marketing lays in the fact that the more this ebook is passed around the better the chances are for making sales.

These are only some of the methods that can be used in generating traffic to certain affiliate programs using affiliate links. If done properly, these methods; such as article marketing, ebook marketing, and email marketing, can provide highly targeted traffic to these programs for possibly many years, or as long as the links remain active. There are various other methods that can generate traffic and without having “your very own website”. The tactic of not having to have your own website will make the goal of becoming a successful internet marketer easier to attain; especially if one is just starting out.

            <description>Hello All,

The sign-in wars have been won by Google with a maximum number of web users preferring to log in with Google account, but Facebook is just a close second threatening to throw Google off the track, according to one survey.

Google and Facebook are the two winners in this competition much ahead of Twitter. Microsoft’s Windows Live, which has been for years designed to be one sign in solution, long before Facebook was born, only had a meager portion of log in activity. While MySpace, AOL and LinkedIn make it up to the list with few percentages.

Google is winning the Sign in battle but there are different surveys which tell a different story. According to one survey, Facebook was holding the number one position with about 46 % of logins while Google held the second with 18%.

In another survey, Yahoo lead the competition with 34% of logins to news and media-related sites, Facebook in second with 28% and Google on third with 25% and AOL with only 10%.

Though the surveys show different figures, Facebook is the choice for various services like sharing links to websites, logging in to European websites or logins for music-related sites. It won’t be long when it tops on all surveys.

            <description>Hi Friends,

I would like to share with you about how does google page rank work?

Google Page Rank Works:

    * Page Rank is only one of numerous methods Google uses to determine a page's relevance or importance.
    * Also keep in mind that search engines crawl and index webpages not websites, that is why your page rank may vary from page to page within your website.
    * Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B.
    * Page Rank is based on the value of your incoming links.
    * Bad incoming links don’t have impact on Page Rank.
    * Page Rank evaluates two things: how many links there are to a web page from other pages, and the quality of the linking sites.
    * Page Rank is represented numerically from a low of PR0 to a rarely achieved high of PR10.
    * Each Page Rank level is progressively harder to reach.
    * Google updates page ranks of websites once every few months
    * After a PR update is done, all pages are assigned a new PR by Google and you will have this PR until a new PR update is done.
    * New sites that were just launched will have a PR of 0 until an update is done by Google so that they are assigned an appropriate PR.
    * Crawlers don’t analyze web-sites permanently. It often takes two full monthly updates for all of your incoming links to be discovered, counted, calculated and displayed as backlinks.
    * Page Rank can decrease. You can lose some important links that are no longer linking to your site.
    * Links from and to high quality related sites are important. If pages linking to you have a high Page Rank then your page gains some part of their reputation.
    * To read Google's Page Rank score one must download and install the Google Toolbar to look for page ranks of websites. The toolbar has a &quot;PageRank meter&quot;.

What is your suggestion? in any other comments, you can reply in this thread..

Thanks...........
